Position Summary:

The Readiness Support Specialist will leverage their knowledge of Navy missions, project management, and readiness assessments to assist the USFFC N1 staff in navigating complex Fleet Manning challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders to clarify project requirements and objectives.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Develop and update project plans, detailing objectives, technologies, schedules, and staffing needs.
  • Assess project requirements for resources, personnel, and finances.
  • Evaluate and select vendors or consultants to fulfill project needs.
  • Monitor project milestones and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
  • Negotiate with stakeholders or suppliers for necessary resources.
  • Coordinate project activities to meet established deadlines.
  • Generate and distribute project documentation.
  • Propose and review modifications to project plans as necessary.
  • Recruit and onboard project personnel.
  • Request and analyze project updates to ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Facilitate project meetings and discussions.
  • Deliver project outcomes to clients, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the areas outlined in the Experience Requirements.

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required for candidates with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Navy manning priorities and policies. A Bachelor's degree is necessary for those with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Experience:

Contractor personnel supporting this role should possess a working knowledge and general experience in:

  • Navy Readiness data and policies
  • Analysis tools and web-based applications for tracking manning, such as Tableau, COGNOS, or MNA
  • General Program Support
  • Effective communication using software programs like Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Publisher

  • Active Clearance
