Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Eligibility Assistant to join our team at the Division of Family Resources (DFR). As an Eligibility Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service to clients and supporting case workers in determining eligibility for public assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and greet all on-site visitors, determining the nature of their business
  • Review client information for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with computer applications and scheduling client appointments
  • Scan documents into client case files and maintain fax machines and copier functions
  • Answer and direct incoming calls, providing excellent customer service to all clients
  • Maintain daily activity reports and deliver outstanding customer service to all clients
Requirements
  • Desire to help others and provide exceptional customer service
  • Strong customer service background and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to handle conflict in a calm manner and be reliable and dependable in the workplace
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proven job stability and high school diploma or equivalent
  • Clean criminal background and previous experience as a Customer Service Representative, Cashier, Clerk, Administrative Assistant, Receptionist, or Front Office desired
What We Offer
  • A competitive hourly rate of $15.00
  • Paid time off and benefits
  • A 37.5 hour work week, Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM
