Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Forefront Dermatology. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform opening and closing clinic duties, including preparing the waiting area and reception counter for the next day.
  • Greet patients, check them in for appointments, and verify their insurance information.
  • Scan documents into our electronic health record system and maintain the tidiness of the waiting area throughout the day.
  • Check schedules for added, canceled, and no-show appointments and schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
  • Respond to designated tasks in the electronic health record system and order clinic office supplies.
  • Sell and track cosmetic products, distribute mail, and prepare for next day scheduled appointments.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of recent medical office experience or in a similar capacity preferred.
  • Proficient in basic computer functions and able to learn new software quickly.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and type a minimum of 40 wpm.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to respond positively to constructive feedback and direction from supervisors.
  • Professional appearance and manner at all times, with a friendly, cheerful, tactful, and polite demeanor.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
