Job Summary

The School of International Service at American University invites applications for an eighteen-month Postdoctoral Fellow in Civic Environmentalism. The successful candidate will work under the project's Principal Investigator, Professor Dana R. Fisher, and contribute to the research team's efforts in collecting and analyzing data, writing research findings, and supporting the DataCorps Fellowship Program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on civic engagement and environmental challenges
  • Support the DataCorps Fellowship Program
  • Contribute to the day-to-day activities at the Center for Environment, Community, & Equity (CECE)
  • Coordinate environmental events and host guests
  • Write for the CECE Clearinghouse and provide administrative support

Requirements

  • PhD or highest equivalent degree in a social science discipline
  • Strong background in survey and interview research methods
  • Experience working on actionable research and strong intrapersonal skills
  • Ability to engage with research and scholarship from multiple disciplines
