About the Role

As a Transformation Director at the University of Maryland Medical System, you will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement and cultural transformation across our 14-hospital system. With academic, community, and specialty medical services reaching every part of Maryland and beyond, we are a national and regional referral center for trauma, cancer care, Neurocare, cardiac care, women's and children's health, and physical rehabilitation.

The successful candidate will possess strategic leadership skills, experience with process improvement methodologies, and a proven track record of leading training programs or curriculum for large organizations. A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required, as well as minimum 7 years' experience in a matrixed enterprise environment facilitating process improvement teams and change initiatives.

The estimated salary range for this position is $126,000-$201,000, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Strategic Leadership: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive training programs for Transformation Coaches, ensuring alignment with the organization's long-term goals.
  • Culture Transformation: Foster a culture of collaboration, problem-solving, innovation, and continuous learning throughout the organization.
  • Process Improvement: Utilize various instructional methods to enhance learning outcomes and drive process improvements across multiple member organizations.
  • Training Programs: Develop and deliver Lean/process improvement and cultural transformation training programs for senior leaders and Transformation Coaches.
  • Evaluation Strategies: Design and maintain evaluation strategies to assess customer needs and perceptions, and determine the long-term impact of educational interventions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Required in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Training and Development, or related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt: Required certification.
  • Minimum 7 Years' Experience: Leading strategic initiatives in a matrixed enterprise environment, facilitating process improvement teams, and managing training programs or curriculum for large organizations.
