Position Overview


The Financial Aid Program Administrator is responsible for managing a comprehensive financial aid program that complies with all applicable regulations while supporting the mission and vision of FVI School of Nursing and Technology.

This role involves budget monitoring, providing financial aid advisement, and establishing policies in accordance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration of financial aid programs on campus.
  • Supervise a team of financial aid advisors.
  • Guide students and parents on financial aid options, application processes, and eligibility criteria through financial assessments and documentation analysis.
  • Evaluate student financial needs; verify eligibility for aid programs; monitor academic progress for continued eligibility; process awards; and review appeals.
  • Manage the disbursement of financial aid funds in accordance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with registrar, bursar, and accounting departments to ensure compliance in cash management during Title IV fund disbursement.
  • Stay informed on federal and state financial aid policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting for compliance purposes.
  • Adhere to all institutional policies as outlined in the Standard Policies and Procedures Manual and School Catalog.
  • Conduct internal reviews to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Implement best practices to support enrollment growth and service quality.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Senior Director of Student Finance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations; over 5 years of experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of various financial aid programs, scholarships, and grants.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations and policies.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Uncompromising integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficient in relevant software and database management; experience with Campus Ivy system is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
