Key Responsibilities:


Overview:


The Senior Cloud Solutions Architect will spearhead the development of a robust technology framework and provide technical guidance to support modernization and risk mitigation efforts in cloud computing and automation. This role emphasizes the design of systems and services optimized for cloud platforms, whether operating natively or in hybrid configurations.


In this capacity, the architect will ensure that applications are engineered to meet performance, security, monitoring, high availability, and disaster recovery standards.


The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience in architecting extensive and intricate IT operations within large-scale organizations.


This position demands exceptional leadership, communication, collaboration, and team-building capabilities, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders across multiple projects as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME).


Cloud Architecture and Development (50%):


• Exhibit expertise in AWS cloud architecture and its implementation features, including serverless computing, authentication, authorization, and API design.


• Showcase proficiency in Azure DevOps, GitHub, or other DevOps tools.


• Demonstrate knowledge of CI/CD Pipelines, including automation for tools such as Checkmarx, SonarQube, and NPM audit.


• Display familiarity with infrastructure-as-code methodologies using tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.


• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, providing comprehensive cloud reference architectures for both native and hybrid cloud solutions.


• Create a repository of deployable and well-documented cloud design patterns based on the modernization application portfolio to facilitate cloud service deployment.


• Exhibit leadership by substantiating decisions with research and articulating various options, including their advantages and disadvantages, while effectively communicating solutions to leadership.


• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.


• Develop architectural solutions and assess alternatives for private, public, and hybrid cloud models, encompassing SaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services.


• Contribute to DevOps development initiatives and complex programming tasks.


• Define optimal design patterns and solutions to ensure high availability and disaster recovery for applications.


• Collaborate with cybersecurity and data privacy teams to fulfill security requirements, translating these requirements for developers, infrastructure, and cloud teams.


Consultation (20%):


• Lead scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application development, product configuration, unit testing, and production deployment.


• Ensure that delivered solutions meet both technical and functional/non-functional requirements.


• Provide technical expertise and ownership in diagnosing and resolving issues, including identifying workarounds or escalating to service owners.


• Offer guidance on best practices and recommendations regarding technical governance related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations.


Thought Leadership (20%):


• Provide thought leadership within the industry and to fellow team members, business stakeholders, and program management.


• Communicate the technology framework and solutions to architectural review boards.


• Advocate for and define the cloud architecture vision from a strategic standpoint, encompassing internal and external platforms, tools, budgets, and systems.


Mentoring (10%):


• Act as a mentor to team members and technical staff.


• Lead the definition and development of cloud reference architecture and management systems.


• Conduct product and governance reviews with team members.
