Role Responsibilities

We are in search of a proactive and seasoned customer-facing Solutions Architect within the Media and Entertainment sector. This role is pivotal in designing and executing technology solutions tailored to the specific needs of both traditional and digital media organizations. A comprehensive understanding of the industry's essential workflows—including content creation, media management, live production, playout, distribution, and monetization—is crucial. The ideal candidate will possess experience across various market segments, including broadcast, studio, digital, sports, and gaming.

The architect will collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that solutions are aligned with business goals and deliver a seamless user experience. This position requires hands-on architectural involvement in customer projects that utilize cloud services and marketplace technologies. The Architect will also be responsible for creating and presenting content and materials to clients in both one-on-one and group settings, whether remotely or in person.

This role is essential for our ongoing growth in this sector, contributing to both pre-sales and post-sales activities, while also influencing our product strategy from a market perspective.

Key Duties

  • Solution Design & Implementation
    • Craft scalable and dependable solutions for content production, media management, distribution, and consumption.
    • Deploy cloud-based workflows to facilitate content consumption from inception to distribution.
    • Ensure solutions adhere to industry standards and best practices.
    • Conduct product demonstrations that highlight product advantages and align them with customers' workflows.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Engage with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
    • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Technology Evaluations & Integrations
    • Assess emerging technologies to enhance media workflows and boost efficiency.
    • Develop integration strategies to incorporate new technologies into existing product frameworks with minimal disruption.
  • Delivery & Execution
    • Lead the implementation strategy, ensuring alignment with customer needs and requirements.
    • Facilitate training sessions and workshops for clients on implemented systems, with a focus on live production workflows.
    • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to ensure the sustained success of delivered solutions in live production environments.
  • Performance Optimization & Compliance
    • Refine workflows to enhance operational efficiency and reduce architectural complexities.
    • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a solutions architect role, ideally within the Digital Distribution, Media Supply Chain, Live TV production, and Sports technology sectors.
  • 5+ years of experience with integrated content ingest, library management, enhancement, and delivery workflows, including familiarity with content production, direct-to-consumer models, FAST, analytics, MAM, content lakes, and content metadata.
  • 5+ years of experience in technology architecture roles within large enterprise media or technology organizations, focusing on media supply chain, content distribution, and live production workflows.
  • Strong grasp of live production and sports workflows, as well as broadcast systems and technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in pre-sales and post-sales roles, with a successful track record of project delivery across the content supply chain.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to perform under pressure in a fast-paced media and entertainment landscape.
  • Extensive experience with cloud and SaaS technologies.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to engage with clients and support project delivery.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with live broadcasting systems, media asset management, and real-time content distribution.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based solutions and services for live TV production.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools relevant to live TV production and FAST Distribution.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies (e.g., AWS, TOGAF, Live Production Technologies).
  • Broad experience across IT and/or practical M&E industry experience in areas such as software design or development, infrastructure architecture, distributed systems, content/data security, data center operations, artificial intelligence/machine learning, and big data analytics.
  • Prior hands-on experience and deep knowledge of cloud architectures.
  • Expert-level technical acumen, including the ability to understand the customer and partner landscape, identify opportunities, and overcome technical challenges.
  • Expert-level ability to comprehend the business domain of the customer or partner and the business challenges they face, with the intent to provide solutions.
  • Expert-level ability to engage with senior leadership (e.g., CxOs) within a customer or technology organization.

The expected annual pay range for this position is $175K-$190K + Bonus. Please note that the final offer amount will depend on geographic location, applicable experience, and skill set of the candidate.
