Job Overview:

Role Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess intricate data processing systems, both existing and proposed, translating customer information system requirements into design specifications.
  • Analyze user and business software system needs to determine functional requirements.
  • Oversee application functionality and manage upgrades as necessary.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation to uphold software development policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Plan, estimate, conduct, and supervise large project assignments.
  • Provide alternatives, recommendations, and support to management during the development, integration, and installation of new products.
  • Develop detailed functional specifications.
  • Engage in project planning and assist teams with cost estimation preparations.
  • Coordinate systems installation with client organizations as needed.
  • Support Software Quality Assurance efforts.
  • Assist with Requirements Management processes.

Qualifications for Success:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (preferred but not mandatory)

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in analyzing and developing business requirements.

  • Ability to guide development team activities from requirements gathering to implementation with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct analysis to support the development and validation of requirements.
  • Translate business needs into detailed software requirements, utilizing Agile methodologies and work management tools.
  • Communicate technical information clearly to others, both orally and in writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Project, and Excel.

Security Clearance Level:

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have resided in the U.S. for the past five years, with specific travel restrictions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of hardware, software, and operating system components.
  • Familiarity with Change Management and Configuration Management tools.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project tracking tools.
  • Understanding of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices.
