Position Overview:
This role serves as the Deputy Director of Support, overseeing the management and execution of essential business operations and support services for the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise the execution of INSCOM's business enterprise processes, including the Business Enterprise Review Board and the Contract Action Review Board.
2. Analyze proposed contract spend plans and strategies, recommending adjustments to enhance cost efficiency.
3. Collaborate with INSCOM business enterprise teams to implement cost control measures and optimize operational efficiencies.

Financial and Resource Management:
Direct the planning and execution of financial processes, human resources management, military construction, facilities management, and corporate information management. This includes business planning, personnel resource assignments, and leadership skill development.

Support Services Oversight:
Manage critical support services such as risk management and special staff functions within the headquarters. Ensure the integration of high-visibility, dynamic, and diverse business and planning programs into a cohesive command strategy.

Representation:
Act as the command's representative at Department of Army and DoD meetings, engaging with key officials from military services, industry, academia, and government entities.

Strategic Leadership:
Possess the authority to establish long-term goals and objectives, determine program focus, plan for staffing and organizational needs, manage changes, and oversee personnel actions affecting support staff.

Qualifications:
Applicants must meet specific employment authority categories to be eligible for this position. Experience requirements include:

  • Administering an operational intelligence program, including manpower and resource management.
  • Performing contract management, including negotiations and contracting techniques.
  • Developing and presenting innovative solutions to leadership within an operational intelligence organization.
  • Ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience is required, typically at the GG/GS-14 level in federal service. Education substitution is not permitted for this role.

Evaluation Criteria:
Candidates will be assessed based on their qualifications and experience as outlined in their application package. Accurate representation of qualifications is essential for consideration.
