Key Responsibilities

The Regional Manager for West Texas Trucking Operations is responsible for overseeing all facets of the trucking division, ensuring excellence in safety, financial performance, workshop efficiency, personnel management, and customer satisfaction. The role is pivotal in achieving business objectives and strategic initiatives.

Core Duties:

  • Enhance and optimize Burton's WTX Trucking Operations to ensure consistent performance and growth, in alignment with the company's core values and strategic goals.
  • Maximize the effective use of company resources, including equipment and workforce.
  • Establish performance targets, mentor team members, and provide guidance to achieve set objectives.
  • Engage in strategic planning and collaborate with fellow managers to develop and implement policies and operational goals.
  • Actively contribute to the formulation and execution of both annual and long-term strategic plans aimed at enhancing business and employee performance while maintaining the integrity of Burton's brand.
  • Work alongside the Sales Team to drive revenue growth and improve profitability.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing WTX Trucking Team that delivers exceptional results and profitability.
  • Foster a strong culture of safety, quality, and shared values, leading by example.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure cohesive business planning, execution, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Trucking Operations and Management.
  • Thorough understanding of regulations affecting daily operations, including national and state DOT regulations.
  • Proven track record in training, supervising, and guiding team members.
  • Ability to manage conflicts and build consensus through strategic insight and effective communication.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of oilfield and trucking principles and systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Work may occur in shop, field, and office settings, utilizing computers, telephones, and other office equipment.
  • Essential functions include continuous sitting, standing, wrist movements, grasping, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
  • Hearing and vision (correctable) are essential for this role.
