Key Responsibilities

The Regional Manager for West Texas Trucking Operations is responsible for overseeing all facets of the WTX Trucking business, ensuring excellence in safety, financial performance, workshop management, personnel development, and customer satisfaction in alignment with corporate objectives.

Core Duties:

  • Enhance and streamline Burton's WTX Trucking Operations to achieve consistent performance and growth, in line with the company's values and strategic goals.
  • Optimize the use of company resources, including equipment and workforce.
  • Establish performance targets, mentor team members, and support them in achieving set objectives.
  • Engage in strategic planning and work collaboratively with other managers to develop and implement effective policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of annual and long-term strategic initiatives aimed at maximizing operational and employee performance while maintaining the integrity of Burton's brand.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to enhance revenue and profitability.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing WTX Trucking Team focused on delivering superior results and profitability.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and shared values, leading by example.
  • Work closely with various departments to ensure cohesive efforts in business planning, execution, communication, and ongoing improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Over 10 years of experience in Trucking Operations and Management.
  • Thorough understanding of regulations affecting daily operations (e.g., national/state DOT regulations).
  • Proven capability to train, supervise, and guide team members effectively.
  • Ability to manage conflicts and foster consensus through strategic insight and urgency.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Solid understanding of oilfield and trucking principles and systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across various stakeholder groups.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Work may occur in shop, field, and office settings, utilizing computers, telephones, and other office equipment as necessary.
  • Essential functions include continuous sitting, standing, wrist movement, grasping, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Work conditions may involve exposure to extreme weather elements.
  • Hearing and vision (correctable) are essential for this role.
