Director of Pain Psychology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Pain Management Center as the Director of Pain Psychology. This is a full-time faculty position available at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
Responsibilities- Foster a high standard of pain psychology care at the UCSF Pain Management Center.
- Foster innovative new pain psychology care models, within the department and in collaboration with other departments.
- Foster clinical research in pain psychology among faculty working at the UCSF Pain Management Center and broadly within the Department of Anesthesia & Perioperative Care.
- Mentor junior pain psychology faculty within the practice and foster retention of existing faculty.
- Foster educational programs for trainees in pain psychology and pain medicine.
The Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care faculty work as a part of a team emphasizing high quality, patient-centered care with a focus on evidence-based medicine. We are committed to supporting our people through a culture and work environment that fosters well-being.
Requirements- PhD in Psychology.
- Completion of postdoctoral training in health psychology, with a preference for an APA-accredited clinical fellowship in pain psychology.
- Licensed to practice in California.
