Faculty Position in Integral Counseling Psychology

The California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time faculty position in the Integral Counseling Psychology (ICP) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, advising, and mentoring students in the program, as well as contributing to the development of the program's curriculum and research initiatives.
Responsibilities- Teach 18 units per year in the ICP program, including courses in clinical skills training, transpersonal and/or spiritual approaches to psychology, and social justice via a liberation psychology framework.
- Advise and mentor students in the program, providing guidance on academic and professional development.
- Contribute to the development of the program's curriculum and research initiatives, including the design and implementation of new courses and research projects.
- Participate in faculty and university meetings, as well as attend orientations and graduations.
- Engage in ongoing scholarship and publication, including the development of research projects and the publication of articles and books.
- Master's or doctoral degree in counseling psychology or a related field.
- License to practice as a clinician in the State of California.
- Experience teaching in graduate clinical education and training.
- Experience in clinical practice, including work with diverse populations.
- Ability to teach at the graduate level, including courses in clinical skills training, transpersonal and/or spiritual approaches to psychology, and social justice via a liberation psychology framework.
- Ability to contribute to the development of the program's curriculum and research initiatives.
- Experience practicing and teaching in depth, relational, gestalt, and/or transpersonal psychologies.
- Experience practicing and teaching in feminist, womanist, mujerista, LGBTQ+, and/or liberation psychologies.
- Specialization in Black psychologies, Latinx psychologies, Indigenous and decolonial psychologies, and/or AMENA (Arab, Middle Eastern, North African) psychologies in teaching, clinical practice, and/or scholarship.
- Experience in community mental health settings.
- Publication record and interest in research.
The successful candidate will be expected to work in an office environment at the CIIS campus in San Francisco, CA. The position is eligible for relocation assistance.
