Process Improvement Manufacturing Specialist

About the RoleThe Process Improvement Manufacturing Specialist will play a key role in developing and improving process capabilities and efficiencies in support of Company strategies and goals. In cooperation with management and staff, this individual will identify key processes to be developed and/or improved, develop teams and tools to measure, analyze, implement/optimize and monitor process improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Working a Full-time, onsite position at our Chatsworth, California location.
- Preferred shift time is Monday – Friday, 7am – 330pm. Other shift times may also be available.
- Affirmatively assess and recommend to management key processes for development and/or improvement. Scope of responsibility includes all administrative and operational processes.
- Develop written work instructions and detailed drawings and modes to augment work instructions.
- Create and execute process router, drawing, inspection plans and other written documentation changes.
- Perform process evaluation for corrective action and product development.
- Assist quoting team by providing methods, time estimates, and cost data needed to complete customer quotations.
- Provide regular communication on the status of project tasks and milestones to internal stakeholders.
- Project Engineering experience – Organize and execute long term government programs.
- Support and track progress against annual Continuous Improvement Plan.
- Create, analyze and measure processes.
- Lead, facilitate, and support project teams.
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in lean manufacturing.
- Solidworks proficient.
- Formal training and experience in project management and Kaizen facilitation.
- Experience in continuous improvement activities, lean manufacturing, six sigma principles.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field of study.
- Certification from a Six Sigma belt program.
This role offers an estimated salary range of $110,000 - $119,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, employee benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, long-term disability and 401(k) with up to 6% QACA company match.
