We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Align Aerospace LLC. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products and materials meet the highest standards of quality.

Job Summary:

The Aerospace Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for validating and reviewing products and materials to ensure they meet supplier, company, and industry standards. This will involve working directly with suppliers and internal departments to conclude quality analysis on products and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validating and reviewing products and materials to ensure they meet supplier, company, and industry standards
  • Working directly with suppliers and internal departments to conclude quality analysis on products and materials
  • Investigating and resolving supplier rejections and claims
  • Interpreting, investigating, and reviewing quality specifications for validations
  • Handling complaints on non-conforming parts for validation and disposition
  • Reviewing and disposing of final rejections
  • Providing corrective action and root cause analysis as needed
  • Managing supplier quality-related issues, waivers, defective parts per million (DPPM), etc. via supplier portals
  • Supporting inspection teams on clarification of supplier quality requirements and flow downs
  • Quarantining defective stock while taking measures to ensure the issue is caught and resolved timely
  • Evaluating audit findings and implementing appropriate corrective actions
  • Providing interpretations and guidance to final inspectors
  • Writing or authoring supplier-specific procedures
  • Using precision measuring tools to assist with the proper inspection of the product or material
  • Preparing metrics on rejections, claim reports, and DPPMs to deliver to management
  • Disposing of supplier-returned materials

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of aerospace quality inspection experience
  • 2+ years of quality auditing, and test experience
  • Experience and proficiency with the implementation of corrective action programs
  • Certification as a Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, or Quality Improvement Specialist is highly preferred
  • AS9100 & AS13001 Training or certification
  • First article inspection experience
  • Any other inspection-related certifications are a huge plus

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of $29-$33 per hour, depending on experience, as well as a bonus of up to $3,500. Additionally, we provide excellent benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
