Role Overview

The Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer will develop and enhance process capabilities and efficiencies in alignment with company strategies and goals. In collaboration with management and staff, they'll identify key processes to be developed or improved. Once identified, the engineer will create teams and tools to measure, analyze, implement/optimize, and monitor process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute process improvement plans to optimize manufacturing efficiency and quality
  • Analyze and recommend process changes to senior management
  • Create and maintain detailed work instructions, drawings, and inspection plans
  • Collaborate with quoting team to provide methods, time estimates, and cost data for customer quotations
  • Communicate project status and milestones to internal stakeholders
  • Support long-term government programs and track progress against annual Continuous Improvement Plan
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in lean manufacturing
  • SolidWorks proficiency
  • Formal training and experience in project management and Kaizen facilitation
  • Experience in continuous improvement activities, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles
  • Basic shop math skills
  • Excellent Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership ability and ability to multitask
Preferred Requirements:
  • CNC programming experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field of study
  • Certification from a Six Sigma belt program
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is $110,000-$119,000 annually, commensurate with experience. The position includes shift differential pay rates for eligible shifts. Other benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, long-term disability, and a 401(k) plan with up to 6% QACA company match.
