Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Infection Control Specialist to join our team at Chatsworth Health Care Center.

About the Role
  • This is a key leadership position that requires a strong background in infection control, nursing, and healthcare management.
Responsibilities
  1. Collect and review infection surveillance information, and educate staff on infection control issues.
  2. Assess infection control needs prior to admission to ensure alignment with facility criteria.
  3. Develop and manage a comprehensive infection control program to meet the needs of residents/patients, visitors, and staff.
  4. Establish surveillance objectives to guarantee patient safety and implement Performance Improvement initiatives based on identified infection control needs.
  5. Provide infection control orientation and administer PPD tests as required.
  6. Plan and direct an infection control program tailored to the organization's demographics and regulatory requirements.
  7. Analyze surveillance data to identify trends and develop objectives to reduce risk and improve outcomes.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current LPN or RN license.
  • At least two years' experience working in a Long-Term Care Facility (RHCF).
  • Experience in infection control, preferably with APIC membership.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - 80,000, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
