Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and establish potential partnerships to secure new accounts while nurturing current business relationships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the industry.
  • Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting to negotiation and execution.
  • Engage with clients in a clear and professional manner.
  • Comprehend client objectives, pipelines, and forecasts utilizing all available resources.
  • Participate in industry conventions and events to foster relationships with prospective clients and uncover business opportunities.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through consistent communication and feedback solicitation.
  • Address client concerns promptly and develop recommendations to enhance satisfaction.
  • Review, draft, negotiate, and finalize agreements related to CDMO services, maintaining a thorough understanding of contract templates and associated risks.
  • Stay informed about market trends and developments.
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with deliverable capabilities.
  • Achieve sales targets on a monthly and annual basis while managing business development activities within budgetary constraints.
  • Travel to meet with clients and attend trade shows.
  • Engage in industry events, business seminars, and client entertainment.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare sector, market dynamics, trends, competitors, and regulatory requirements.
  • Address both business and technical needs of clients; prepare contracts and proposals for new and existing opportunities.
  • Present sales opportunities and key activities to the business development team and senior management monthly.
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust metrics to evaluate the success of CDMO initiatives.
  • Report sales performance and forecasts using business planning tools.
  • Communicate results to senior leaders, highlighting areas of concern and potential solutions while identifying opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a scientific discipline with 5-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing relationships within the pharmaceutical industry, particularly with brand companies, including successful negotiation and securing of contracts for manufacturing and development services.
