A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TUTOR

As a College Test Preparation Tutor, your engaging and friendly demeanor will create a positive learning environment. Your ability to connect with students will foster trust and open communication, allowing them to share their academic aspirations and concerns.

WORK SCHEDULE

While confidence and dedication are essential traits, we require your availability for two to three days during the week from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM or 3 PM to 8 PM. You will collaborate with fellow tutors to plan future sessions and must have some weekend availability to assist students in person at designated locations.

QUALIFICATIONS

An ideal College Test Preparation Tutor will possess the following qualifications:

  • A passion for being a role model for high school and college-bound students
  • Strong organizational skills with expertise in relevant subjects and proven academic success
  • Motivated and capable of conveying knowledge in a personalized and effective manner
  • Previous experience in tutoring, particularly in ACT and/or SAT preparation, is highly desirable
  • Ability to conduct one-on-one tutoring in-person, virtually, and in remote settings
  • Reliable transportation may be necessary for commuting to tutoring locations
  • Note: Candidates should have achieved scores in the 90th percentile or higher on their own college entrance exams
