Position Overview

Primary Objective

The role involves external sales, fostering new business opportunities, and managing client accounts to support all service offerings for Heritage Environmental Services while contributing to the company's revenue and profitability targets. This position requires extensive travel, approximately 80% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize Health & Safety as the foremost objective by adhering to established policies and procedures, ensuring safe practices at all times.
  • Enhance sales revenue and profit margins by identifying potential new clients and engaging them through personal sales interactions to present services and evaluate their needs.
  • Boost sales revenue and profitability of existing clients through consistent communication and updates regarding additional services available.
  • Develop and maintain strong sales relationships with targeted accounts.
  • Compile, present, and analyze regular reports on sales activities, volumes, and expenditures.
  • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions; represent the company at industry trade shows, conventions, and professional associations.
  • Stay informed about significant changes in environmental regulations and industry trends, as well as competitive dynamics.
  • Exhibit adaptability to CORE business and customer categorization.
  • Effectively manage Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) to maintain below 45 days.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish profiles, service timelines, and ensure satisfaction with current offerings while addressing any concerns.
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual terms effectively.
  • Complete annual sales revenue budgets and key client initiatives.
  • Manage and control sales-related expenses, ensuring timely submission of business expenses.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the company's service offerings relevant to the business lines provided to clients.

Heritage Environmental Services values the significant contributions of each employee. Qualifications: A four-year college degree is required, preferably in Sales, Business, Marketing, or a Science-related field.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience in the hazardous/environmental industry is required; alternatively, 7+ years of relevant industry experience may substitute for a degree.

Skills and Competencies: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Proficiency in computer use is required. A solid understanding of all Heritage services is necessary, along with demonstrated sales capabilities. The role involves significant travel, including overnight stays. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

A post-offer drug screening will be mandatory.
