Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by processing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, sort, and decontaminate surgical and clinic items and instrumentation
  • Inspect and package single instruments and instrument kits
  • Select and utilize appropriate sterilization methods and cycles
  • Document all sterile processes and maintain accurate inventory
  • Collaborate with preceptors to develop skills necessary to perform core functions independently
  • Perform daily AER maintenance and document appropriately
  • Utilize approved PPE as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
  • Excellent organization, operations, people management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand medical terminology
  • Working knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and instrument tracking software
Working Conditions

This position requires rotating weekend and on-call requirements. You must be able to perform all Sterile Processing functions and be able to frequently lift up to 25 lbs. stoop, bend, pull, and place and retrieve material.
