About the Role

Fenway Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our medical team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of medical instruments and equipment.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasonic washer, washer-disinfector, and steam autoclave.
  • Monitor sterilization processes and perform routine safety checks and cleaning of equipment.
  • Inspect instruments prior to distribution and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to maintain adequate par levels of instruments and supplies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Registered Central Sterilized Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing Department Technician (CSPDT) certification.
  • Ability to work autonomously and exercise safe judgment and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to multitask and function in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vocational or technical training in central processing.
  • 1 year of related work experience.
  • Successful completion of Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant Program or comparable experience.
