Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Central Sterile Endoscope Processing Technician 2 to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a key member of our Endoscope Sterile Processing Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety by processing and sterilizing reusable medical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Decontaminate and clean reusable medical devices, including endoscopes, instruments, and equipment, using approved personal protective equipment and manual and automated cleaning tools.
  • Assemble and package medical devices, inspecting and documenting work using instrument tracking software.
  • Perform sterilization and high-level disinfection of medical devices, interpreting package labeling and selecting appropriate sterilization methods and cycles.
  • Manage inventory, inspecting items during the pick process and communicating unmet supply requests.
Requirements
  • CRCST or CBSPD certification required; CER certification preferred.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; some college or associate's degree preferred.
  • At least one year of direct experience in sterile processing functions within an operative setting; experience in a large academic medical center or trauma center preferred.
Working Conditions

This role requires rotating weekend and on-call requirements, as well as the ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods. Exposure to the operating room environment is required, and a strict dress code, including surgical scrubs, must be followed.
