Job Summary

The Beverage Operations Coordinator is a key member of our team responsible for overseeing all aspects of beverage service from proposal to event day. This fast-paced role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while providing top-notch customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Beverage Management:
    • Meet with clients to present customized beverage package offerings that enhance their experience
    • Create and manage beverage proposals within established pricing guidelines
    • Upsell additional services to elevate client satisfaction
    • Work closely with clients to address beverage-related questions or concerns
    • Manage local distributor and vendor accounts, ensuring seamless communication with our Director of Finance and Senior Beverage Manager
    • Maintain accurate inventory control, including ordering and receiving supplies, tools, products, and consumables
    • Coordinate glassware rental orders with vendors based on event specifics
    • Analyze beverage profitability to optimize revenue growth
    • Hire, train, and supervise bartending staff to deliver exceptional service
    • Approve hours worked by part-time beverage employees
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, local liquor laws, and market competition
    • Oversee all aspects of beverage service on event days, including setup and management of bar equipment
    • Ensure timely and efficient execution of events, maintaining quality control throughout service
    • CHECK-IN, MANAGE, AND CHECK-OUT VENUE BAR STAFF ON-SITE, INCLUDING HOSTING PRE-SHIFT MEETINGS WITH BAR STAFF
  • Event Day Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and guests on event days, addressing any questions or concerns promptly
    • Develop strong knowledge of venue services, operations, and contract terms to guarantee successful events
    • Collaborate with Client Concierge to review event diagrams, timelines, and vendor information
    • Compile necessary documents and forms for Client Concierge and Venue Manager
    • Welcome coordinators and vendors, conducting routine surveillance and check-ins throughout the event
    • Evaluate guest satisfaction and respond to any issues in a prompt and professional manner
    • Be present on-site for all events, typically from bar setup through load-out and guest departure
    • Document event details and photos, including vendor arrival and departure, maintenance needs, safety incidents, and client interactions in the Passdown Report
    Requirements and Qualifications:
    • Prior experience in catering, bars, or restaurants is highly preferred
    • Current local alcohol certification(s) are mandatory
    • Strong leadership abilities to manage waitstaff during event setup and service
    • In-depth knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in an event venue, as well as alcohol and beverage service
    • Able to effectively crowd control and mediate stressful situations involving intoxicated guests
    • Must be at least 21 years old
    • Availability on evenings, weekends, and Wednesdays (team office day) is required
    • Experience in bar or bartending operations is essential
    • Passion for building a great team and ensuring customer satisfaction
    • Familiarity with Google Applications and an affinity for new technologies and software
    • Strong written communication skills
    • Able to troubleshoot problems using available resources, multitask, and delegate
    • Reliable transportation, cell phone, and working computer are must-haves
    • Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
    • Wear black or approved business casual attire during events

Compensation Package:

The compensation for this role includes a competitive base salary paid bi-monthly, determined by experience, plus eligibility for overtime and gratuity.
