We are seeking a skilled Culinary Expert to join our team at CAMO LAX, a part of Camo Hospitality. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare high-quality food to specifications, ensuring timely delivery and presentation.
- Measure and portion food items accurately, adhering to portion sizes, quality standards, and department rules.
- Cook food to proper specifications, utilizing kitchen equipment and maintaining proper food temperatures.
- Ensure freshness and quality of all menu items, adhering to current health and food handling regulations.
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed, maintaining a clean and organized workstation.
- Follow and uphold all health codes and sanitation regulations, setting up, operating, and maintaining kitchen equipment.
- Use waste control guidelines and record all waste, utilizing proper documentation to record food production.
- Complete tasks in order, following the prep list from the manager, labeling and storing products to company standards.
- Wash, chop, and sort ingredients, clean dishes, and sanitize the kitchen, working collaboratively with the manager, runners, cooks, and hotel staff.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed, following all company policies and procedures.
- At least one year's experience as a Prep Cook or Line Cook.
- Ability to read and understand recipes and food abbreviations.
- Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attentive and detail-oriented.
- Capable of following procedures and taking directions.
- Basic math skills, ability to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements and proportions.
