Patient Care Technician

Trinity Health Livonia is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team in the Medicine Unit. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, working closely with our nursing staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Job Summary:The Patient Care Technician is responsible for providing direct patient care, including vital sign measurements, medication administration, and assisting with patient transfers. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment, restocking supplies, and performing other tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including vital sign measurements, medication administration, and assisting with patient transfers
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, restocking supplies and performing other tasks as needed
- Assist with patient care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Document patient information and required data in appropriate areas
- Participate in unit-specific activities, such as gathering post-procedural data and placing patients on monitors/telemetry
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
