Position Overview:

The role of the Property Management Associate is pivotal in maintaining a secure and appealing living space for residents while ensuring high standards of service and operational efficiency. This position also acts as a support to the Property Manager during their absence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the principles of HELPFUL, ENGAGED, RESPONSIVE, OUTSTANDING, EXCELLENCE, and SUCCESS in all interactions.
  • Engage regularly with residents, ensuring effective and courteous communication with all stakeholders.
  • Implement marketing strategies to meet occupancy targets, adjusting plans based on market trends and competition.
  • Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements, with a solid understanding of operational and human resources guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with housing regulations, manage apartment showings, and oversee lease renewals.
  • Handle rent collection, monitor delinquencies, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Provide leadership to the team in the absence of the Property Manager.
  • Promote resident engagement initiatives, collaborating with the Resident Services Department.
  • Prepare and distribute reports on operational and financial metrics.
  • Assist with property expense processing, including vendor invoices.
  • Participate in required training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Keep the Property Manager informed of any significant operational updates.
  • Support other properties as directed by management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

While this position does not have direct reports, the Property Management Associate may take on supervisory tasks under the guidance of the Property Manager, including recruiting, training, and performance management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years' experience in property management or a related field.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Possession of relevant certifications or a commitment to obtain them.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse audience.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Strong customer service orientation, particularly towards older adults.

Physical Requirements:

This role may require the ability to lift up to 25 lbs and navigate various areas of the community without assistance.
