Sonepar, a leading electrical distribution company, is seeking a dynamic sales leader to drive business growth in the D.C. Area. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to meet customer needs and achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of sales professionals to achieve sales revenue targets and sales forecasts.
- Develop and implement sales plans to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Mentor and coach sales associates to improve their skills and performance.
- Manage sales expense budgets and ensure effective use of company resources.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and branch managers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in the electrical distribution industry.
- 7+ years of outside sales experience, with a focus on industrial and contractor customers.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive sales success.
- Experience managing a P&L and leading multiple branch locations is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business software.
