Job Overview:

As a Rehabilitation Support Specialist at SportsCare Physical Therapy, you will be instrumental in aiding our clinical staff and ensuring that patients receive exceptional care. Your role will involve direct interaction with physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and patients, facilitating treatment delivery and fostering a positive atmosphere within the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Patient Care: Provide hands-on support to patients during therapy sessions, adhering to the directions of the physical therapist or physical therapist assistant. This includes helping with exercises, setting up equipment, and ensuring patient safety.
  • Prepare Treatment Areas: Organize and set up treatment spaces and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patient use.
  • Patient Education: Support patient education by clarifying exercises, demonstrating proper techniques, and discussing treatment objectives as guided by the clinical team.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure that treatment areas, exercise equipment, and therapy rooms are kept clean and sanitized to promote a safe environment.
  • Laundry and Supplies: Assist with laundry tasks, including washing and folding linens and towels, while monitoring and replenishing supplies as necessary.
  • Patient Records: Keep accurate and confidential patient records, documenting progress and adherence to prescribed exercise programs.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper maintenance of therapy equipment and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, physical therapists, and other team members to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is advantageous.
  • Physical stamina and capability to lift and assist patients as required.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
