Position Details:
The Shipping Specialist plays a crucial role in managing outgoing shipments, comprehending the components and requirements for each shipment. Responsibilities include organizing inventory for efficient retrieval as new orders arrive, reviewing shipment schedules to ensure smooth operations, and documenting any damages to inventory. Attention to detail and proficiency in computer operations are essential for this position, which leans more towards administrative tasks than warehousing duties. Previous experience is required, and bilingual candidates are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive shipments along with necessary documentation.
  • Process product orders, including receiving deliveries and distributing shipments as required.
  • Accurately pick and pack orders for production and prepare them for shipment.
  • Implement printing and shipping process controls to uphold established production efficiencies.
  • Package custom goods and stocked products accurately according to order specifications.
  • Maintain records of imports and exports.
  • Prepare and pack orders for dispatch.
  • Ensure all shipments are properly labeled and documented.
  • Generate shipping documents for all outgoing exports.
  • Maintain appropriate records to support internal and external audits.
  • Keep the shipping area organized and orderly.
  • Schedule large shipments and coordinate logistics to ensure adequate storage and staffing for incoming items.
  • Compile regular shipping and receiving reports for management.
  • Address issues related to shipping or inventory management.
  • Resolve shipping issues and customer complaints effectively.
  • Utilize warehouse space efficiently by packaging and lifting items as necessary, including operating forklifts and pallet jacks for larger goods.
  • Package parts as per instructions.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to work independently with a computer-based shipping/receiving/inventory system.
  • Strong ability to follow and adhere to established procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized.
