Position Details
The Shipping Specialist plays a crucial role in managing outgoing shipments, understanding the components and requirements for each shipment. Responsibilities include organizing inventory for efficient retrieval as new orders arrive, reviewing shipment schedules to ensure smooth operations, and documenting any damages to inventory. Attention to detail and proficiency in computer operations are essential. This position leans more towards administrative tasks rather than warehousing duties. Previous experience is required, and bilingual candidates are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments along with necessary documentation
  • Process product orders, including receiving deliveries and distributing shipments within the organization
  • Accurately pick and pack orders for production and prepare them for shipment
  • Implement printing and shipping process controls to uphold production efficiencies
  • Package custom goods and stocked products according to order specifications
  • Maintain records of imports and exports
  • Prepare and pack orders for dispatch
  • Ensure proper labeling and placarding for all shipments
  • Generate shipping documents for exports
  • Maintain comprehensive records and documentation for audits
  • Keep the shipping area organized
  • Schedule large shipments and coordinate logistics to ensure adequate storage and staffing
  • Prepare regular shipping and receiving reports for management
  • Address issues related to shipping or inventory management
  • Resolve shipping problems and customer complaints effectively
  • Manage merchandise placement in storage facilities, including packaging and operating forklifts as needed
  • Package items as directed

  • Ability to work independently with computer shipping/receiving/inventory systems
  • Strong adherence to procedures and ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
