Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Services Engineer to join our team at TEKsystems. As a Field Services Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing new or modifying existing desktop computing infrastructure to meet the ongoing research center needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and design new or modify existing desktop computing infrastructure to meet research center needs.
  • Implement and deploy desktop computing infrastructure solutions.
  • Provide technical and business knowledge to handle complex issues and ensure desktop computing infrastructure meets business requirements.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts in a team setting to drive best practices and identify innovative strategies for successful data product delivery.
  • Ensure the platform is robust and scalable to handle increasing volumes and demands from data and analytics.

Requirements:

  • Three or more years of progressive industry experience with ability to support both Windows and MAC operating systems.
  • Advance understanding of desktop computing and implementation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, planning, and decision-making skills.
  • Able to work with people at all levels, including outside consultants and vendors.
  • Able to build and maintain relationships and facilitate collaboration and communication.
  • Thorough understanding of desktop imaging and desktop deployment strategies.
  • Interest in learning new technologies and operating systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in research, life sciences, or in data science.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
