Position Impact

The Field Service Manager plays a vital role in overseeing the daily operations within their designated region. This includes supervising field service personnel and managing workflow to meet productivity and service quality standards. The primary responsibility of the Field Service Manager is to lead and coordinate the activities of staff engaged in testing, certification, and related services, ensuring effective training, development, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of field service technicians servicing a specific geographical area with a diverse range of service offerings.
  • Collaborate with upper management to achieve efficiency and productivity targets, aligning with financial and regional growth objectives.
  • Work closely with senior staff and the training department to ensure adequate training and development for field personnel.
  • Coordinate with operations to optimize technician scheduling and address any logistical challenges.
  • Maintain active involvement in resolving customer issues and equipment-related concerns.
  • Occasionally perform testing, certification, environmental monitoring, calibration, and other services at client locations across various laboratory, hospital, and pharmacy environments.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments, providing support to other managers and corporate shared services.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

TSS offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Annual salary range of $75,000 - $110,000
    (Salary determined by education, experience, skills, and internal equity.)

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant leadership experience, including profit/loss management and key performance indicators.
  • Some experience in people management is necessary.
  • A combination of education, training, and relevant experience may fulfill requirements.

Skills and Abilities
