Automation Expert for PLC Systems

At Prime Partners, we're seeking a highly skilled PLC Controls Technician to join our team. As a key member of our automation group, you'll be responsible for implementing advanced technologies across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Commissioning: Lead the startup and verification of PLC and DDC control systems, ensuring reliable performance and seamless integration.
- Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work closely with engineers, clients, and electrical teams to ensure smooth automation integration.
- Documentation & Quality Assurance: Maintain accurate records of system operations and modifications, aligning all documentation with project status.
- On-Site Technical Leadership: Provide guidance to subcontractors, enforce quality control practices, and troubleshoot issues on-site.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2+ years with Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley Studio 5000, or similar platforms (Inductive Automation Ignition, ICONICS).
- Technical Proficiency: Proven background in PLC installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Specialized Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC control theory, electronics, and electrical circuits.
- Communication & Problem-Solving Skills: Effective communicator with ability to work independently and proactively address challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Controls Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Experience with DDC controls, Modbus, and BACnet protocols.
- Familiarity with Tridium or other BAS control systems.
- Experience with Active Directory and SAML 2.0.
