Position OverviewRole Summary
Accountable for comprehensive management of technical initiatives aimed at delivering exceptional results to internal stakeholders. Collaborates with functional leadership and program management teams to establish feature backlogs and define acceptance criteria, working closely with the internal DevSecOps team to ensure timely delivery, adherence to scope, and quality standards. Ensures that project management methodologies are adhered to and refined as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will:
  • Engage with functional partners and technology leaders to define feature backlogs, outline acceptance criteria, and gather feedback.
  • Collaborate with and influence internal GE Healthcare tools and infrastructure strategies.
  • Exhibit the capability to persuade stakeholders effectively.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to deliver features and products.
  • Partner with functional managers and program management teams to manage release and sprint backlogs, supporting short-term roadmaps for MVPs and quarterly launches.
  • Continuously prioritize based on a thorough understanding and validation of customer needs and challenges.
  • Develop execution plans and strategies based on project scope, anticipated timelines, and resource availability.
  • Oversee and manage the backlog, ensuring that 1-2 sprints/iterations are always prepared.
  • Coordinate daily execution with a globally distributed technical team, often comprising members from various organizations.
  • Manage project risks, scope alterations, and other atypical events throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate stakeholder communication and progress updates.
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables meets stakeholder expectations.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar project management role.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and project management tools such as Rally, Jira, MS Project, and Smartsheet.
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles, CI/CD processes, software design, coding standards, and Agile practices.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (2-3 weeks per year).
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model from an office location.

  • Skilled in deconstructing problems, documenting issues, and estimating efforts.
  • Ability to influence others and build support for ideas, anticipating downstream effects and tailoring strategies for positive outcomes.
  • Capable of articulating the rationale behind decisions and their implications.
  • Experience collaborating with global teams.
  • PMP, ScrumMaster, or similar project management certifications.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
