About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure software and hardware systems, as well as conducting vulnerability research and developing proof-of-concept offensive cyber capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement secure software and hardware systems
  • Conduct vulnerability research and develop proof-of-concept offensive cyber capabilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks
  • Develop and maintain secure coding practices and standards
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with software debuggers and static analysis tools
  • Proficiency with one or more programming languages
  • Familiarity with assembly
  • Understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Ability to obtain Interim Secret level security clearance by start date and ultimately obtain TS/SCI+poly level clearance
