Position Overview

Are you passionate about developing cutting-edge IT security solutions and exploring advanced cybersecurity technologies?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise to achieve compliance and security goals within environments utilizing Computer Network Defense (CND) tools, including Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
  • Analyze data to enhance the security posture of networks and identify operational challenges.
  • Lead compliance efforts in Network Access Control (802).
  • Assist in the installation and upkeep of the ESS/Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) suite, ensuring adherence to mandated baselines.
  • Monitor logs and track authorized and unauthorized removable devices and media on the network.
  • Collaborate with audit analysts to oversee policy modifications, privileged user activities, and data transfers to guarantee ongoing policy enforcement.
  • Plan and coordinate CND tools administration to support various requirements from Security Operations and compliance inspections.
  • Support the Vulnerability Management Team to ensure that the ACAS security architecture aligns with DoD regulations and other governing documents.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in Information Technology (IT).
  • Experience in security systems analysis and monitoring.
  • Proficiency in both Windows and RHEL Operating Systems.
  • Expertise in Network Access Control (802) and implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGs) for device hardening.
  • Certifications such as GSEC, Security+, or CCNA-Security are preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information clearly to all levels of management and staff.
  • An active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • A comprehensive understanding of Host-based Security Systems, Device Control Solutions, and security tools implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with networking, network security, VMware, enterprise storage, and data center services.
  • Familiarity with utilizing Splunk for custom queries to analyze and respond to anomalies.
