Customer Service and Front End Lead

The Customer Service and Front End Lead at Food Lion is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while ensuring seamless store operations. This includes greeting each customer, using their name whenever possible, and maintaining a neat and clean presentation of the work station and front end area of the store. Responsibilities also include reporting any register malfunctions, ensuring the MVP savings center KIOSK is filled with paper and properly working, and performing tasks as needed per the surge plan guidelines. This role requires effective communication and customer service skills, along with the ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide fast, easy, flexible, and friendly service to customers
- Maintain a neat and clean presentation of the work station and front end area of the store
- Report any register malfunctions
- Ensure the MVP savings center KIOSK is filled with paper and properly working
- Perform tasks as needed per the surge plan guidelines

Physical Requirements
This role requires standing 100% of the time, frequently walking short distances, and being able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning and packaging materials, fresh fruits, vegetables, house plants/flowers, and household cleaners. Additionally, this role requires the ability to use computers and other communication systems required to perform job functions, as well as perform repetitive hand and arm motions.
