Financial Operations Specialist

Nexus Direct is on the lookout for a motivated Financial Operations Specialist to become a part of our vibrant team of direct response fundraisers. If you excel in a challenging yet rewarding environment, this role may be a perfect fit for you.

Location:
This position is remote, but candidates must be able to attend weekly meetings at our office.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

We are in search of a meticulous and organized individual who can efficiently manage a variety of financial and administrative responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience and will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of our Finance Department.

Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process accounts payable transactions in a timely manner using QuickBooks.
- Assist with the closing activities at the end of each month.
- Oversee timesheet management.
- Utilize our Purchase Order system to monitor and process invoices.
- Manage bank deposits and the distribution of incoming mail.
- Organize agendas for monthly staff meetings and provide administrative support as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to established accounting policies and procedures.
- Participate in special projects as needed.

Requirements:
- Outstanding organizational abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and project management tools is advantageous.
