Lead Technology Strategist – Enterprise Technology Solutions

The Northern Trust Shared Services Enterprise Technology Solutions team is on the lookout for a seasoned and proactive professional to join our ranks. This role will involve acting as the technical lead for the deployment of enterprise-wide technology solutions and cloud-based applications. The tools currently supported by our team include ServiceNow, Apptio, Clarity PPM, CAST, Sapience, Poppulo, Digital Mail, Agility Health, Miro, Research Monitor, Real-estate Utilization, and Planview Spigit.

Key Responsibilities:
· Possess technical expertise in Public and Private Cloud solutions and understand the requirements for access, authentication, and data exchanges between the Cloud and Northern Trust.
· Familiarity with standard assessment processes for applications and alignment with company objectives.
· Collaborate with architects to assess and recommend various solutions that best meet business and project needs while considering cost implications.
· Serve as a technical project manager, guiding teams in supporting applications.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
· Maintain and oversee applications across a diverse range of technology domains.
· Foster knowledge sharing through consulting, presentations, and documentation.
· Exhibit excellent consultative, written, and verbal communication skills, effectively engaging with clients, partners, vendors, IT management, and staff.
· Identify suitable technical solutions that deliver business value while minimizing technical debt.
· Collaborate directly with development teams on concept development, performance challenges, and implementation hurdles.
· Show a keen interest in understanding the business processes related to the applications under your purview.
· Conduct testing and troubleshooting of software to identify and resolve issues.
· Demonstrate a capacity for rapid learning and adaptability to new challenges and changes.
· Possess technical knowledge of daily financial and/or investment sectors, typically gained through relevant experience, is advantageous.
· Excel in working with teams, mentoring, and training individuals in processes and procedures while addressing their needs and clearly documenting information.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
· Proven experience and knowledge in implementing Software as a Service (SaaS) applications/tools.
· Familiarity with standard IT tools and operations.
· A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Developer or Technical Lead for applications.
· Knowledge of databases such as Oracle, MS-SQL, etc.
· Experience collaborating with other teams to implement applications/tools for SSO, File Transfers, Access, etc.
