We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Food Service Worker to join our team at Executive Personnel Services Inc. in Washington, DC. As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality food preparation and presentation.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Assist in food preparation duties, including rinsing, peeling, slicing, and dicing fruit and vegetables.
  • Weigh and measure ingredients to ensure accurate portion control.
  • Wrap, date-label, and store food items to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and utensils to maintain a high level of hygiene.
  • Refill condiments and other supplies as needed.
  • Follow established recipes to prepare menu items and ensure correct serving temperatures.
  • Provide customers with information regarding food ingredients and availability.
  • Escalate customer concerns and complaints to management.
  • Comply with relevant safety, hygiene, and service standards and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
  • Experience: 6+ months of food service experience.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Proficient understanding of food allergies and modified diets.
  • Proficient understanding of HACCP requirements.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Availability to work AM shifts.
