Role of the Culinary Specialist

The Culinary Specialist plays a crucial role in the preparation, production, and presentation of menu offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare menu items according to established recipes and special requests
  • Availability to work various shifts, including weekends
  • Safely operate kitchen tools and equipment, including knives
  • Effectively communicate to fulfill job requirements as directed
  • Maintain composure and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
  • Work in a confined space with varying noise and temperature levels
  • Lift and move items as required, with the ability to handle weights up to 50 pounds
  • Stand and walk for the duration of the shift, navigating safely through the restaurant

Essential Functions

  • Adhere to portion control and inventory management
  • Uphold food safety and quality standards
  • Accurately read and interpret thermometers
  • Communicate any food delays or issues to the team
  • Monitor menu item counts and inform management of low stock
  • Maintain accurate records of items produced
