iTrust Wellness Group is currently seeking Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Physician Associate (PA) students for their Student Preceptorship Program. The program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in psychiatric care under the guidance of experienced clinicians.

**Program Overview**

As a student at iTrust Wellness Group, you will have the opportunity to conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans, learn and apply various therapeutic techniques, participate in case discussions, and enhance your clinical skills in a supportive and educational environment.

**Requirements**

* Currently enrolled in a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Associate (PA) program
* Completed first rotations

**Application Process**

The application for the Student Preceptorship Program contains several general screening questions to help us determine eligible students and the availability of providers for rotations. In cases of limited provider availability, iTrust Wellness Group may choose to conduct additional phone screenings with applicants to determine students' eligibility.

**Supervision and Mentorship**

Student Preceptors will be expected to observe their iTrust Wellness Group provider (Preceptor) during both virtual and in-office appointments. Students will also assist their Preceptor with clinical documentation, patient evaluations, and the development of patients' treatment plans. Through close shadowing and engagement with their Preceptor, each student will have the opportunity to glean insights about the mental healthcare industry and profession.

**Schedule**

Students are expected to shadow their iTrust Wellness Group provider (Preceptor) during their regular business hours. Typical provider hours are as follows: Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm, Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm. Individual Preceptor hours and in-office scheduling may vary.

**Patient Population**

iTrust Wellness Group currently accepts patients between the ages of 18 and 75 who may be diagnosed with various mental health conditions. Students participating in iTrust Wellness Group's Student Preceptorship Program will be expected to professionally engage with our various patient demographics and their diagnoses. Our typical patient diagnoses include ADHD, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, eating disorders, schizophrenia, sleep disorders and insomnia, substance use, etc.

**Feedback and Evaluations**

Feedback and evaluations of iTrust Wellness Group's Student Preceptors will be given continuously throughout the duration of the Student Preceptorship Program. Critique will include, but is not limited to, each student's performance in the areas of clinical documentation, patient evaluation, and the development of treatment plans.
