Supervisory General Engineer

We are seeking a highly qualified Supervisory General Engineer - Environmental Health and Engineering to join our team at the Indian Health Service. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and managing environmental health and engineering programs, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, develop, and implement environmental health and engineering programs to protect the health and safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to identify potential environmental health hazards and develop corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with federal regulations and guidelines.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Provide technical guidance and support to staff on environmental health and engineering issues.
- Must have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in environmental health and engineering, including experience in program management and leadership.
- Must have knowledge of federal regulations and guidelines related to environmental health and engineering.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Master's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Experience in program management and leadership in a federal or tribal organization.
- Knowledge of tribal environmental health and engineering issues and concerns.
