POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Financial Analyst collaborates closely with the Accounting Manager and Controller, engaging in comprehensive accounting and financial reporting functions for the organization and its affiliates. This role involves executing assigned responsibilities during the month-end closing and reconciliation processes. The analyst supervises, guides, mentors, and trains the accounts payable team. Additionally, this position is accountable for the accounting operations related to all capital projects and fixed assets. The analyst assists in the preparation of necessary work papers for the annual audit and may contribute to tax and governmental reporting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
CERTIFICATION:
CPA and/or MBA preferred.

SKILLS:
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Extensive experience with electronic data processing systems and general ledger software.
Demonstrated proficiency in spreadsheet applications (Excel) and word processing software.
Must exhibit resourcefulness and possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to effectively coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
Proven supervisory skills that foster a cooperative team environment and promote excellence.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of five years of accounting experience, including: preparation of financial statements; GL month-end processes; account variance analysis; financial analytics; audit preparation; familiarity with joint ventures, partnership, and consolidation accounting; accounts payable experience with progressive responsibility; complex fixed asset management; and financial oversight of healthcare practices and acute care settings is advantageous.


NATURE OF SUPERVISION:

Responsible to:
Accounting Manager and Controller.

ENVIRONMENT:
Office setting with exposure to bloodborne pathogens. The role involves managing multiple deadlines and maintaining composure under pressure.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequent keyboard data entry adhering to ergonomic principles. Knowledge of general safety standards is required.
