Sustaining Engineer II

Apply Medical is a leading medical device company dedicated to innovation and excellence. We're seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer II to join our cross-functional team and contribute to the development and improvement of our manufacturing processes.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Process Engineer II, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and sustaining manufacturing processes
- Debugging manufacturing processes and equipment using root cause analysis
- Executing and expediting shop orders as needed
- Creating and updating engineering documents, including process maps, FMEA, and manufacturing/quality instructions
- Collaborating with the Production team to identify capabilities and capacity
- Working with the Engineering team on fixturing design and development, tolerancing, and design for manufacturing
- Partnering with tooling design teams (MIM, Stamping, Molding, etc.)
- Exploring new tooling, materials, manufacturing processes, and technologies
- Researching and qualifying new suppliers and vendors
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 1-2 years of relevant engineering work experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience with manufacturing equipment and processes
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (e.g., SolidWorks), spreadsheets, scheduling programs, and word processing
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Working knowledge of various materials and mechanical designs
- Able to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Tech-savvy and detail-oriented
- Critical thinking
- Ability to mentor and guide other team members
