Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team at The Murphy Law Firm. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and providing exceptional support to our attorneys and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of legal documents and correspondence
  • Manage office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, and arranging meetings and travel
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Process client billing and maintain accurate records
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, including creating and proofreading documents
  • Conduct research and gather information as needed
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required to ensure the efficient operation of the office
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a law firm environment
  • Proficient in MS Office products and legal software
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Must be a resident of the Upper Marlboro area in Prince George's County, Maryland
  • Must be detail-oriented, patient, and punctual
  • Must be willing to learn and adapt to new software applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Family law experience
  • Knowledge of Google Drive and G-Suite products
