Job Summary

The Food Service Clerk Cashier PRN is responsible for ensuring all cashiering, clerical, and administrative support functions are completed timely and accurately. This includes processing diet orders, menus, and patient requests, as well as providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process diet orders, menus, and patient requests in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and employees
  • Operate cash register, including collecting money, giving change, receipts, and balancing for each meal
  • Stock necessary condiments and set up for daily menu
  • Check menu of all items needed coming on duty and ensure all food listed on menu is available
  • Turn on steam table when coming on duty and fill table with fresh water
  • Turn off all equipment when working late position
  • Clean, sanitize, and stock equipment prior to meal service as needed
  • Promptly report food shortages or potential food shortages to supervisor
  • Record refrigerator temperatures daily
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with one year of experience in healthcare food and nutrition services preferred and clerical experience preferred. HCA Florida University Hospital is a 165-bed hospital serving Davie and the surrounding communities in Broward County, FL.
