North Mississippi Health Services is currently in search of a per diem / prn Ultrasound Technologist to join our dedicated team in Tupelo, Mississippi.

The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for delivering high-quality and cost-effective diagnostic imaging services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting physicians and medical personnel during ultrasound procedures as necessary.
  • Providing exceptional customer service in a precise and efficient manner.
  • Effectively communicating with patients, their families, and medical staff.
  • Participating in mandatory training sessions, annual evaluations, and educational programs.
  • Maintaining knowledge of ultrasound procedures, positioning, supplies, and equipment utilized in imaging examinations.
  • Staying updated on advancements in the field of Radiology.
  • Adhering to all policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth by NMHS/NMMC.
  • Complying with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Organizing workflow to minimize delays and manage costs through appropriate supply usage.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
  • Ability to work independently while ensuring quality standards.
  • Registered with ARDMS or AIUM.
  • Preferred: Registered with the American Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Preferred: Licensed by the State of Mississippi (MRT).
  • Required: Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Required: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with a diverse patient population, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
